With a diverse range of products and services, we're constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the world of finance. **Job Summary** As the Director of Data Science for our Global Data Strategy group, you'll be responsible for leading the development of centralized reporting capabilities, implementing process enhancements and automation, and driving the creation of revolutionary data insights that inform business decisions. You'll work closely with senior management, risk management, and finance teams to provide expert analysis and guidance on credit risk, loss provision, and credit reserves. **Key Responsibilities** * **Lead the strategic evaluation of arenaflex credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance**: Develop and present key analyses and recommendations to inform business decisions and drive growth. * **Own precise information assets/packages within Risk Finance, and become a subject matter expert of the applicable tools**: Troubleshoot issues, reconcile results, identify enhancements and automation opportunities, and train other customers to drive adoption. * **Develop and maintain preferred and ad-hoc reports used by Risk Finance and/or business partners; provide credit-associated analytical support**: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop tailored solutions. * **Build and maintain relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, etc.**: Foster strong working relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. * **Provide selection-aid with a strong emphasis on growing analytics that identify trends and opportunities in the portfolio which can be used to optimize Business and Risk decisions**: Develop and present data-driven insights to inform business decisions. **Required Qualifications** * **Advanced experience working with a maximum of the following is required**: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1 * **Experience working with a sophisticated degree of Excel and PowerPoint required**: Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations. * **Experience in ML modeling is a plus**: Apply machine learning techniques to develop predictive models and drive business insights. * **Solid economic and analytical skills; ability to work with large units of data and draw significant conclusions, empowering our business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions**: Develop and present data-driven insights to inform business decisions. * **Superior attention to detail, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills**: Manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines to deliver high-quality results. * **Must be results-driven and proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines**: Prioritize tasks and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. * **Desire to work on ambiguous tasks, growing clarity while achieving successful and significant outcomes**: Develop and present data-driven insights to inform business decisions. * **A robust work-ethic and strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the potential to build and maintain relationships and successfully collaborate with team members to achieve goals**: Foster strong working relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. * **Master's degree in advanced mathematics or statistical discipline required**: Develop and apply advanced mathematical and statistical techniques to drive business insights. **Considerations for Sponsorship** arenaflex may offer visa sponsorship for certain positions, depending on business unit requirements, the nature of the position, value, and relevant laws. **Compensation and Benefits** The anticipated salary range for this position is $55.00 to $85.00 hourly, plus bonus, equity (if relevant), and benefits.
