Job Overview The Client Systems group at arenaflex is looking for an experienced Java Developer who can collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization. As a Java Software Engineer, you will work closely with our business leaders and various stakeholders to design, develop, and implement new solutions. You should be able to work independently, prioritize requirements, and develop solutions for complex systems and content, with the ability to work under pressure occasionally. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain large-scale enterprise-level backend systems using Java and Java Enterprise applications Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs Work with cross-functional teams to implement new solutions and ensure seamless integration with existing systems Develop and maintain scalable, efficient, and reliable software systems that meet the needs of our customers Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are designed with security, performance, and scalability in mind Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Java development and apply that knowledge to improve our systems and processes Essential Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field At least 2 years of experience with designing and developing large-scale enterprise-level backend systems Proven experience with Java, Spring, multi-threading, REST, Data Storage Systems, DB design, and data access technologies Experience with artificial intelligence and building data pipelines for large-scale data systems Knowledge of designing and developing distributed systems, synchronous programming, and coding data structures Experience with designing, developing, and deploying large-scale web applications Preferred Qualifications Experience with architecting and designing Application layers in SOA/Microservices architecture Experience with building, designing, and deploying highly scalable REST-based stateless APIs/web services for web applications/mobile clients Knowledge of security principles and experience with building secure and reliable distributed applications Experience with leading and mentoring junior developers Strong understanding of application performance improvement techniques and storage solutions Ability to perform multiple tasks and support multiple, concurrent projects simultaneously Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you should have: Excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment Experience working in a large enterprise with a global environment, across different time zones and geographies Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
