Job Overview: Healthcare Patient Customer Service Representative We are seeking an experienced and skilled Healthcare Patient Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to patients, addressing their inquiries, and resolving their concerns in a professional and courteous manner. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, with a schedule of Monday to Friday and no weekends. Primary Responsibilities Answer patient calls regarding Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and research balances, providing clear and concise explanations and resolving issues in a timely manner. Manage patient refunds, ensuring that all refund requests are processed efficiently and accurately. Process patient payments, handling all payment-related inquiries and issues with professionalism and courtesy. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a minimum of one year of experience in medical billing and collections, as well as current knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement for commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare. You should have a thorough understanding of EOBs and the ability to effectively communicate by phone and in writing with patients. Additionally, you should consistently demonstrate extensive attention to detail, organization, and multi-tasking skills, as well as the ability to provide a positive customer service experience to clients, guests, and patients. Essential Skills and Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and provide exceptional customer service.
