Job Overview: Healthcare Patient Customer Service Representative We are seeking an experienced and skilled Healthcare Patient Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to patients, addressing their inquiries, and resolving their concerns in a professional and courteous manner. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, with a schedule of Monday to Friday and no weekends. Primary Responsibilities Answer patient calls regarding Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and research balances, providing clear and concise explanations and resolving issues in a timely manner. Manage patient refunds, ensuring that all refund requests are processed efficiently and accurately. Process patient payments, handling all payment-related inquiries and issues with professionalism and courtesy. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a minimum of one year of experience in medical billing and collections, as well as current knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement for commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare. You should have a thorough understanding of EOBs and the ability to effectively communicate by phone and in writing with patients. Additionally, you should consistently demonstrate extensive attention to detail, organization, and multi-tasking skills, as well as the ability to provide a positive customer service experience to clients, guests, and patients.
