Key Responsibilities• Manage inbound referrals, including receiving faxes and referrals via email and web portals, and promptly entering referrals into our systems for team members to review and act upon.• Perform error-free data entry, including demographics, insurance, and condition information, and notify Provider Success Coordinators upon receiving referrals.• Conduct medical record reviews and complete insurance verification tickets, verifying insurance benefits and coverage for durable medical equipment (DME) via web portals and phone calls.• Answer inbound patient and provider phone calls, providing empathy, compassion, and genuine care for our patients with chronic conditions.• Demonstrate excellent communication and task management skills, quickly and professionally communicating with patients, providers, and internal colleagues via instant messaging, email, and phone calls.Essential Qualifications• Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare startup, with a strong understanding of medical records management and insurance verification processes.• Excellent communication skills, including email, Slack, and phone, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.• Proficiency in bolthires Suite, including Gmail and bolthires Sheets, with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.• A teamwork and collaborative attitude, with a strong desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications• Prior experience in insurance verification, with a strong understanding of insurance benefits and coverage for durable medical equipment (DME).• Prior experience in medical record management or collection, with a strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.• Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to self-motivate and manage time effectively.Skills and CompetenciesTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and competencies, including:• Attention to detail :The ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records, with a strong attention to detail and ability to identify and correct errors.• Communication skills : Excellent communication skills, including email, Slack, and phone, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.• Time management :The ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, with a strong ability to meet deadlines and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.• Teamwork and collaboration : A teamwork and collaborative attitude, with a strong desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of the team.Career Growth Opportunities and Learning BenefitsAt Better Health, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
