Job Overview In this remote medical customer service representative role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional phone support to hospitals and patients, handling billing inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner. You will work from the comfort of your own home, utilizing your excellent problem-solving skills to ensure that patients receive the information they need. As a key member of our team, you will be expected to maintain accurate patient records, route incoming calls to the most suitable person within the company, and escalate unresolved matters when necessary. Key Responsibilities Provides exceptional phone support: Handles calls from hospitals about billing inquiries in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all issues are resolved to the satisfaction of our patients and healthcare partners. Assists patients effectively: Clarifies patient questions, ensures that they receive the information they need, and provides empathetic support to those who require it. Problem-solving champion: Works through issues by pinpointing the root cause, researching solutions, implementing the best option, and escalating unresolved matters when necessary to ensure that all problems are resolved efficiently. Data entry specialist: Maintains accurate patient records by inputting information into the hospital's computer system, ensuring that all data is up-to-date and accurate. Connects callers seamlessly: Routes incoming calls to the most suitable person within the company, ensuring that all patients and healthcare partners receive the support they need in a timely manner. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: Experience working in a call center with a healthcare background, preferably in medical claims and/or insurance. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to undergo a criminal background check, provide proof of ownership of a High School Diploma, GED or Transcripts, and complete a drug screen testing (testing for THC as well). High Speed Internet with a minimal of 50 Mbps Download/20 Mbps Upload Speed, with the ability to hard wire via Ethernet cable. A quiet and dedicated workspace at home, with the ability to accommodate two monitors and a computer, and ensure HIPAA compliance. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Epic Software experience, with the ability to navigate and utilize the system efficiently. Bi-lingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare partners who speak multiple languages.
