Government Contracting Specialist (SAM.gov + State) for Cleaning Products – A-to-Z Setup

We are a fast-growing U.S.-based manufacturer of cleaning and household maintenance products (multiple brands under our company). We want to expand into government contracting and are looking for an experienced specialist who can handle everything end-to-end — from setup to opportunity management to proposal submissions. We currently manufacture a wide range of cleaning, janitorial, and facility-maintenance products, and we also have the ability to produce new variations or entirely new products as needed for government bids. We want someone who can help us maximize government sales potential across all relevant platforms. Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the complete government contracting process, including: 1. Setup & Compliance Registering/optimizing our SAM.gov profile Ensuring all compliance requirements are met (representations, certifications, NAICS codes, product categories, etc.) Guiding us through any additional registrations needed (DUNS/UEI, GSA eligibility, etc.) 2. Platform Coverage (Federal + State + Local) Identify and set us up on all major procurement portals, including but not limited to: SAM.gov FedConnect GSA eBuy / GSA Advantage (if applicable) State procurement portals in major states County / municipal bid platforms Any other high-value government bidding systems used for cleaning/janitorial supplies 3. Bid Opportunity Identification Monitor all platforms daily Identify open solicitations relevant to cleaning products, janitorial supplies, facility maintenance chemicals, etc. Evaluate feasibility & profitability Shortlist high-value opportunities 4. Proposal Preparation & Submission Prepare compliant proposals, pricing sheets, documentation, and product details Coordinate with us to gather needed info Submit bids on time and track outcomes 5. Strategic Guidance Advise us which contracts to pursue Help structure product offerings and bundles for government buyers Recommend opportunities for additional items where needed Provide insights on pricing, margin expectations, and competitive positioning 6. Ongoing Management Maintain all accounts and registrations Track awarded contracts Ensure timely renewals, updates, and compliance Provide ongoing support to build and grow this sales channel Required Experience: We are only looking for candidates who meet the following: Proven experience winning or managing government contracts (federal and/or state) Deep familiarity with SAM.gov workflows Experience working with GSA, FedConnect, or state procurement systems Understanding of documentation, compliance, and proposal writing BONUS: Experience in cleaning, janitorial, industrial supplies, or chemical products Ability to independently manage the entire A-to-Z contracting process Strong communication and organizational skills About Us: We are an established U.S. cleaning products company with multiple national brands and U.S.-based manufacturing capabilities.
