Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dependable and enthusiastic afternoon Barista to join our team at Library Rules, the coffee shop at Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU. As a Barista, you will create memorable experiences for our guests by preparing high-quality coffee and beverages with exceptional customer service. Our ideal candidate is reliable, has a passion for coffee, and thrives in a guest-oriented environment. This role will serve as 2nd shift barista and also be responsible for making coffee drinks including alcohol for our PM offerings. ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve coffee and other beverages in accordance with our recipes and standards. Operate coffee brewing equipment and maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and answering any questions about the menu. Manage cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Maintain a clean and welcoming environment, including restocking supplies and ensuring sanitation standards. Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols. Support the team in all areas of the coffee shop to ensure smooth operations. Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsPrevious barista or coffee-making experience preferred but not required. Bartending experience is preferred. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude. Dependable and punctual, especially for early morning shifts. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic math skills for cash handling. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Ability to work weekday and weekend afternoon / early evening shifts. • This position is a part-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
