About the Role:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and teamwork
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver comprehensive arts programs that meet the needs of all students
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in dance education
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
- Strong knowledge of dance techniques, curriculum design, and instructional strategies
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues to achieve common goals
