Job Highlights Competitive Compensation: $22.73 per hour Flexible Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 3:45-5:35 pm (including dismissal), with occasional Fridays and field trips Opportunities for Growth: Professional development and training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge Collaborative Work Environment: Work with a team of experienced educators and professionals who are passionate about making a difference Make a Difference: Contribute to the academic, social, and emotional growth of students in our community Key Responsibilities As an After School Program Paraprofessional, you will be responsible for: Supporting the planning and implementation of a comprehensive after-school program Providing individualized support to students in areas such as homework help, reading, and math Assisting with program development, including lesson planning and activity implementation Participating in professional learning opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge Collaborating with teachers, site coordinators, and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment Supporting the collection of data for attendance, behavioral, and student incentives Participating in field trips and daily programming to support student safety and engagement Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must: Have an Associate's degree or equivalent, or pass the ParaPro test Have experience working with elementary school students, preferably in a tutoring or teaching capacity Be reliable, punctual, and prepared to support the facilitation of an after-school experience Be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and stand, walk, and sit for extended periods Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in an after-school program or similar setting Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation Experience with data collection and analysis Bilingual or multilingual skills Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you must possess: Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain accurate records Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and develop creative solutions to challenges Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities Career Growth Opportunities As a member of our team, you will have access to professional development opportunities, including training and workshops, to enhance your skills and knowledge.
