Key Responsibilities Utilize Mathnasium's specially designed curriculum to deliver high-quality instruction in a 4:1 setting, with the flexibility to provide 1:1 support when needed. Provide personalized mathematics instruction across various content areas, including Early Childhood, Elementary, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and ACT/SAT prep. Participate in ongoing training to master the Mathnasium method and stay updated on best practices. Demonstrate enthusiasm, empathy, and patience when working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Multitask effectively, interacting professionally with students, parents, and colleagues. Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Be flexible and willing to work at both our West DePaul and Ravenswood locations. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: Strong math skills, with a minimum proficiency through Algebra and Geometry; knowledge of Trigonometry and Calculus is a significant plus. The ability to pass our subject matter test, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to excellence. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues. A patient, enthusiastic, and empathetic approach to working with children of varying ages and abilities. Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing needs and circumstances. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications can enhance your application: Previous experience in teaching or tutoring math, particularly in an educational setting. A degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. Familiarity with the Mathnasium curriculum or similar educational programs.
