Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Math Instructor to join our team at Mathnasium of Holly Springs in Canton, GA. As a Math Instructor, you'll play a critical role in creating an engaging and productive learning experience for students, working with them to develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and building their confidence in the subject. This is a part-time, in-person role that requires a strong passion for math, excellent interpersonal skills, and a fun and engaging personality. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students in-center, online, and via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method ® Participate in positive interactions with parents, establishing a high level of confidence and program value Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes, using them to support student learning Assess student progress throughout instructional sessions, working collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework, providing constructive feedback to support their development Support the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive space for students Assist with non-teaching and instructional tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the team Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A passion for math and working with kids, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on their educational journey Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues A fun and engaging personality, with a warm and welcoming approach to teaching and learning Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra II, with a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and principles The ability to balance various ongoing tasks, prioritizing effectively and managing your time with ease A willingness to learn and be trained in the Mathnasium Method ® , demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience in teaching or tutoring math, with a proven track record of success A degree in mathematics or education, or a related field Experience working with students of varying ages and abilities, with a strong understanding of different learning styles and needs Skills and Competencies To excel as a Math Instructor at Mathnasium, you'll need: Strong mathematical knowledge and skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues A patient and supportive approach to teaching, with a strong commitment to helping students achieve their full potential The ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to deliver a high-quality educational experience A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to adjust your approach to meet the needs of different students and learning styles Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Mathnasium, we're committed to supporting the ongoing professional development of our team members.
