Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time basis, with the potential to transition to full-time. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in Restaurant 365 (R365). This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring the integrity of our General Ledger (GL) accounts, and supporting the financial health of our restaurant operations. While the position will be primarily in-office, there is flexibility for some work-from-home days. Responsibilities • Regularly review and maintain General Ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency. , • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections. , • Perform payroll processing and assist with tax preparation. , • Maintain accurate financial records by recording debits and credits. , • Generate financial reports and assist in budget preparation. , • Conduct bank reconciliations and manage cash flow. , • Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger. , • Utilize Restaurant 365 (R365) and other financial software to track financial transactions. , • Assist in preparing for audits and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry. , • Strong proficiency in Restaurant 365 (R365). , • Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). , • Experience with journal entries, financial report writing, and general ledger accounting. , • Familiarity with financial software for bookkeeping tasks. Nice-to-haves • Previous experience as an accounting clerk. , • Experience managing bookkeeping for multiple restaurant locations. , • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently.
