[Remote] Data Engineer

The role involves designing and maintaining data pipelines, collaborating with stakeholders, and utilizing various data engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, including reverse-engineering legacy systems and implementing scalable solutions on modern platforms
• Ability to work with stakeholders across teams to translate business and technical requirements into robust data solutions
• Proficiency with ETL and data engineering tools (e.g., StreamSets, Palantir Foundry, Pentaho, Informatica, Talend), SQL, and programming languages such as Python or Java
• Ability to analyze complex data problems, handle schema drift, and ensure high-quality, reliable solutions
• Experience mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and promoting best practices (preferred for senior-level candidates)
• Prior work with U.S. Federal organizations, FAA projects, or eligibility for federal security clearance is preferred but not required
