[Remote/WFM] Accountant- Tax Bookkeeping

Quick Overview: Start Date: Immediate openings available Position: Accountant- Tax Bookkeeping Company: Workwarp Location: Remote Compensation: a competitive salary   Job Title: Accountant CPA firm with a focus on small business clients is looking for an experienced accountant looking for remote work - 30 hours per week. The firm is located in North Carolina but owner lives in Northeast Georgia. Firm is set up for full remote work. Job Duties: - Obtain QuickBooks files, bank statements, and credit card statements from clients via Drake Portals -Prepare Tax Returns (businesses and individuals) - We remote desktop software to access QuickBooks desktop -Utilize QuickBooks Online for some clients - reconcile bank statements and credit card statements - Prepare/update Balance sheet reconciliation Excel workbook - Reach out to clients to clarify missing information - Update other schedules as needed to assist in preparation of tax projections -Utilize Microsoft Teams and Monday.com to communicate with the team and coordinate work Qualifications -Bachelors in accounting preferred - 2 years accounting work experience minimum -2 years tax work experience minimum -Experience with monthly close preferred Salary $35-$50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications 30 hours per week Flexible/asynchronous work environment I recently purchased the practice from a retiring CPA.
