Part-Time Interior Designer for Mixed-Use Project in Downtown Houston

Our corporate office is located in Fishtown, Philadelphia. www.methodco.com Role Overview Method Studios is seeking a part-time Interior Designer to support a mixed-use hospitality and residential project in Downtown Houston, including ROOST Apartment Hotel units, multifamily residences, and shared amenity spaces. This role is FF&E-focused, with hands-on exposure to real-world documentation, procurement coordination, and custom furniture detailing. The Designer will support the design team from February 1 through June 1, 2026, with the option to extend based on project needs and performance. Responsibilities Assist with FF&E design and documentation, including: •Develop design presentations, including furniture selection decks, finish palettes, and visual diagrams • Creation of design development and construction documentation packages for procurement agents • Custom furniture detailing • Furniture, fixture, and equipment specifications • Tagging and schedules for procurement • Support preparation of furniture layout plans and schematic design schemes in AutoCAD • Participate in the interior design process by developing alternative design solutions and presentation graphics used for internal and client approvals • Assist with rendering, modeling, and graphic output as needed • Coordinate with suppliers and consultants to review and track shop drawings and samples, including documentation of approvals • Support ad-hoc interior design projects across Method Co.’s hotel, apartment hotel, and restaurant portfolio Qualifications • Proficiency in AutoCAD • Proficiency with SketchUp and/or other 3D modeling tools • Familiarity with FF&E, furniture systems, and interior materials • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) • Experience with Bluebeam is a plus • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment What You’ll Gain • Hands-on experience on a large-scale, real hospitality project • Exposure to procurement-ready documentation and coordination with architects and consultants • Insight into how boutique hotel and apartment hotel interiors are designed, documented, and delivered • Mentorship from a multidisciplinary design team embedded within an owner-operator platform Apply tot his job
