Skills • Recent public accounting experience (within the past five years). • Experience in public sector audits (schools, hospitals, municipalities, agencies). • Strong understanding of GAAP and GAAS. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Responsibilities • Conduct financial statement audits and attest engagements for government-funded entities. • Assist with audit wrap-up and review, including finalizing work papers and checklists. • Review draft financial statements and related audit documents. • Report audit findings to stakeholders. • Train and develop audit staff. • Maintain excellent client and team relationships. Qualifications • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting.
