Senior Retirement Plan Consultant

With a network of offices nationwide, our commitment to collaboration allows us to offer national resources combined with local service.RESPONSIBILITIES• Conduct in-depth research and due diligence on pooled investment products (mutual funds, CITs, separate accounts, ETFs), analyzing performance, risk, expenses, and manager consistency to support fund selection and recommendations• Contribute to the firm's investment policy committee and approved fund list by providing expert quantitative and qualitative analysis aligned with strategic objectives• Design, implement, and monitor customized model portfolios using pooled vehicles, ensuring alignment with client goals, risk tolerance, and the firm's investment outlook• Advise retirement plan sponsors on fiduciary governance, including Investment Policy Statements (IPS), fund lineup reviews, and regulatory compliance under ERISA standards• Prepare and present quarterly investment reports, recommend lineup changes, and coordinate with recordkeepers and fund managers to execute plan enhancements• Manage and expand client relationships through strategic guidance, performance reviews, and market commentary, while supporting business development through RFPs, onboarding, and firm representation• Mentor junior consultants and analysts, promoting best practices in investment analysis, fiduciary responsibility, and client service excellenceQUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required; MBA preferred• Minimum 5 years in investment or retirement plan consulting, wealth management, or related financial services, with strong expertise in investment research, pooled product analysis, and portfolio construction• Proven success managing institutional or high-net-worth client relationships and contributing to AUM growth• Strong understanding of and respect for ERISA standards• Highly Preferred: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and/or Certified Financial Planner (CFP)• Preferred: Chartered Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) or ASPPA Investment Fiduciary designation• Proficiency in Morningstar Direct, RPAG, or comparable research tools, with advanced Excel skills for data modeling and analysisADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThis job is fully remote.Alera Group offers comprehensive benefits to our colleagues, including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401k, generous paid time off and much more.
