They will help to develop and enhance methodologies that leverage leading practices to build secure, highly available, and performant solutions to deliver the Cloud Strategy and Migration vision. This is a full-time remote position (9-5, M-F, CST). The resource is for a long-term need to support our multi-year ERP Modernization Program with potential hire opportunities as well as staff augmentation support needed during the implementation.We are looking for the best resource at the most competitive billing rates possible for Chicago, IL. public sector market, we are open to considering remote resources who are willing to transition to a hybrid role-based program and role requirements. The Solution Architect leads technical solutioning discussions as part of CPS ERPTransformation Requirements Analysis and Solution Design phase of the program utilizingOracle ERP Fusion Cloud platform and collaboratively works with the System Integrator teamfor validating the solution design and implementation of final ERP Cloud solution.This position resides in the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) of the Information andTechnology Services (ITS) / ERP Modernization Program of Chicago Public Schools. The Solution Architect is accountable for the following responsibilities:• Assist in architecting Oracle ERP Cloud based SaaS solutions to enable cloud solutionswith consideration for performance and high availability. • Work closely with business stakeholders, ERP Cloud Vendors, and third-party solutionproviders, as well as system integrators to define and design CPS ERP Cloudtechnology footprint as part of the implementation roadmap.• Define standard operating procedures for allowing Oracle and non-Oracle technologiesto seamlessly integrate. • Lead Technical Solution Design workshops and building technical strategies forconversions, integrations, reports and extensions leveraging Oracle SaaS platform for alarge and complex Oracle Fusion implementation. • Advise on technical solutions, architecture designs, strategy, and implementation bestpractices. • Provide technical design and solution architecture inputs to plan the deliverable timelinesand resources for the project scope, timeline, and execution.• Build technical designs and support complex Oracle ERP SaaS solutions to addressbusiness requirements. • Stay current with industry developments and best practices and incorporate them as andwhen necessary. • Ensure that the application architecture is consistent with architectural standards,working closely with the enterprise architecture and operations team to facilitate approvalfrom CPS Architecture Review Board. • Assist management with writing statement of work proposals, preparation of projectestimates, identification of technology stack and hardware requirements and preparationof IT BOM for provisioning of production and non-production environment resources.• Develop architectural artifacts (blueprints, roadmaps, strategies, white papers,presentations, etc.) for CPS ERP Transformation Program. • Proactively contribute, offer recommendations, and identify risks and solutionsassociated with proposed or existing software applications strategies. • The Solution Architect is versatile enough to understand several different applications,and to be a Subject Matter Expert in relation to one or several applications. In order to be successful and achieve the above responsibilities, the Solution Architect forOracle Fusion Cloud ERP must possess the following skills, abilities, and qualifications:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:• Demonstrated knowledge required to leverage Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) to designand implement cloud and on-premises application integrations.• Experience planning ERP Cloud instance strategy for SaaS and PaaS solutions. • Expertise across the Oracle Fusion Tech stack including but not limited to: OracleIntegration Cloud (OIC), OTBI, VBCS, Java, Oracle Database, XML/BI Publisher, ADF,SQL, PL/SQL, FBDI etc. • Experience across all RICE design/ development on Oracle ERP Cloud tech stack. • The candidate should have a broad business background and good interpersonalcommunications skills and a thorough understanding of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.• 10+ years of experience in Oracle Cloud ERP/Oracle EBS with a minimum of 2+full-lifecycle• Oracle Cloud Financials, Human Capital Management, and Procurement implementationexperience. • Full life-cycle project development including Requirements, Design, Development,Testing and Roll-out• Knowledge of Enterprise Structures, module-specific configurations, ability to dorequirement analysis and deliver functional design documents of the mentionedmodules. • Ability to quickly understand the business requirement and to design solution concepts• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.• Demonstrates experience in multiple business processes, ability to architect and designtechnology solutions and manage cross functional teams, projects, vendor management. • Ability to Lead and design Cloud ERP Project solution, manage all aspects of OracleFusion and financial applications, support, and operations, including planning, designing,implementing, integrating, testing, and supporting and maintaining various functions. Type of Education Required:• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required.• A major in Business Administration, Information Technology, or Engineering is preferred. • Master's Degree preferably an MBA with a major in MIS, Human ResourcesManagement, Finance or Accounting preferred. • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified - Integration Professional. Type of Experience and Number of Years:• At least ten (10) years of demonstrated experience as ERP Solution Architect. • At least five (5) years of experience architecting and designing complex IT solutions onOracle ERP Cloud Tech stack.• One recent end-to-end full life cycle experience as a Oracle Fusion Solution Architectimplementing Oracle Fusion Financials, HCM and Procuremnt Cloud Services. • Experience leading Technical Solution Design workshops and building technicalstrategies for conversions, integrations, reports, and extensions leveraging Oracle SaaSplatform for large and complex Oracle Fusion implementations. • Experience implementing, customizing, and maintaining Oracle Fusion technologysolutions across multiple end-to-end Oracle ERP Cloud implementations.• Experience building RICE for Fusion Financials and HCM modules. • Experience with modern development and testing techniques such as continuousdelivery and continuous integration. • Experience in Education (K-12) ERP Oracle Fusion Cloud Implementation, preferred.
