About the position Ellucian is seeking a motivated, growth-minded Pre-Sales Solutions Architect to join our Professional Services team in designing and developing scalable, cloud-based SaaS proposals that shape the future of higher education. In this role, you will support the pre-sales process by partnering with sales teams to scope, estimate, and propose solutions that showcase value and enable institutions to make informed technology decisions that drive student success. Responsibilities • Pre Sales Opportunity Support: Drive end to end execution of opportunities from qualification to close with Account Executives (AEs) and other presales resources within Ellucian to scope, estimate, and package implementation proposals for customer implementations including developing SOWs, responding to RFPs, and creating pricing and resource models. • Solution Architecture: Collaborate with customers and internal teams to create appropriate solution architectures that support overall solution design and implementation proposal. • Solution Design: Translate client requirements into capability fit/gaps that address how functional processes will be defined and how gaps will be addressed by our platform and solutions. • AI Implementation: Leverage AI tools and platforms to enhance development workflows, automate tasks, and deliver intelligent features that improve the higher education experience. • Collaboration & Agile Delivery: Work effectively within Agile teams, contributing to sprints, retrospectives, and cross-functional collaboration to drive innovation and successful outcomes. • Continuous Improvement: Create feedback loops to incorporate knowledge from ongoing engagements, IP reuse, and efficiency improvements to revise presales deliverables. Additionally, contribute to ongoing practice improvement initiatives to streamline Lead to Order process inefficiencies, improve proposal SLAs, create and manage offers in support of new products, services, etc. Requirements • Preferred 2+ years of broad Ellucian solution delivery experience at higher education institutions in the U.S., with expertise in cross-functional areas such as Student Information Systems (SIS), Finance, and HR. • Implementation Background: Demonstrated experience across the full lifecycle of a project. Familiar with software implementation methodologies, test strategies, data migration strategies.
