Telemetry Nurse (RN) in Daytona Beach, FL

This contract role offers a chance to provide specialized care on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit within a supportive and dynamic hospital setting located in Daytona Beach, FL. Nurses will work primarily on the 2nd Floor MST unit, focusing on medically complex telemetry patients including post-surgical and orthopedic cases. Key Responsibilities: • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring • Manage a patient assignment ratio of approximately 1:6 • Administer treatments, medications, and interventions as prescribed • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement individualized care plans • Float as needed to other inpatient units or to care for admitted holding patients within scope of competence • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system Qualifications and Experience: • Active Florida or compact nursing license • Minimum 2 years experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing • ACLS and BLS certification required • Comfort and proficiency in tele nursing care, including monitoring and responding to cardiac rhythms • Experience with post-surgical and orthopedic patient populations is highly desirable • Ability to work night shifts and fulfill weekend requirements (Friday-Saturday nights, 6 shifts in 6 weeks) Schedule and Details: • Shift: 1845 to 0715, total 36 hours per week • Contract length: approximately 13 weeks • No call responsibilities • Floating expectations as needed Daytona Beach, FL, offers a vibrant coastal lifestyle with beautiful beaches, cultural attractions, and a warm climate year-round.
