About the Role In this dynamic and challenging position, you will be responsible for handling complex customer interactions, negotiating with providers, and providing expert guidance on benefits and healthcare questions. Your exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, will enable you to build strong relationships with our internal and external customers, while your analytical and problem-solving skills will allow you to navigate complex situations and resolve issues efficiently. Key Responsibilities Respond to telephone and email inquiries from members and providers within defined service standards, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of their concerns Negotiate with providers to gain acceptance for plans without network agreements and/or out of network providers, utilizing your excellent communication and interpersonal skills Assist members with benefits and healthcare questions, providing clear and concise information to empower them to make informed decisions Document all calls received in our system-based call log, maintaining accurate and detailed records of customer interactions Take initiative to resolve situations and accomplish project actions and tasks, demonstrating your ability to work independently and as part of a team Build relationships with internal and external customers, fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual respect Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED, with 2 years of college or higher education preferred At least one year of customer service or call center experience in a healthcare-related role, with medical intake or Third-Party Administrator (TPA) experience highly desirable Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a plus, as are knowledge of provider organizations and networks, CMS Medicare reimbursement rates, and medical terminology Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft applications and excellent data entry and typing skills Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, we are looking for candidates with: Experience with claim processing, insurance verification, or pre-certification Knowledge of self-funded health benefits and provider office/facility billing department or financial area Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to anticipate potential needs and problems Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to empathize with customers and provide personalized support Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and self-motivation Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and resolve issues efficiently Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
