Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our team at arenaflex. As a Property and Casualty insurance expert, you will be responsible for handling customer service and billing inquiries, providing plan coverage information, quotes, policy changes, and policy change impacts to premium. Key Responsibilities Contact policyholders through inbound/outbound telephone calls, direct mail, and email to review policies prior to renewal, and update policies to enhance retention and better meet the needs of the consumer. Counsel policyholders concerning appropriate coverage, policy limits, payment options, and state laws that will best meet their needs for sufficient protection against risks covered by Property and Casualty insurance. Make appropriate recommendations and/or changes to the policy and gain policyholder acceptance to process the changes. Receive and respond to calls and emails received by the insurance service center, documenting all activity in our system. Utilize knowledge of the insurance industry and arenaflex policies and procedures to provide efficient and professional customer service. Identify opportunities to apply discounts, process insurance verification forms for insured, and act as a liaison for information exchange between customers and insurance companies. Process changes to policies, follow up with companies to ensure change requests have been processed in a timely manner, and review policy information to assist insured in filing claims. Recognize cross-sell opportunities and obtain quote information to provide our customers with comprehensive solutions. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment. A Property and Casualty insurance license, with a Membership license preferred and/or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and insurance companies. A strong knowledge of insurance industry principles, practices, and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge to provide exceptional customer service. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to self-motivate and work independently. A strong technical skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
