About the Role We are seeking part-time customer service and sales assistants to work in various areas of our retail operations, including sales, print shop technology, loss prevention, and textbooks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and maintaining the overall appearance and efficiency of our retail environment. This is a part-time position, working 19 hours per week or less, and offers a competitive hourly rate of $16.25 per hour. Key Responsibilities Greet and welcome customers, providing a high-quality customer service experience and driving sales growth through active selling and product knowledge Maintain the appearance of the sales floor, including setting up seasonal promotions and visual displays, and regularly monitoring assigned areas for product restocking and recovery Operate cash registers, assist customers with check-out, and execute appropriate cash handling procedures Support inventory and order fulfillment operations, including receiving and processing incoming merchandise, assisting with special orders, and handling seasonal perishable goods Respond to customer inquiries and provide solutions to customer needs, both in-store and digitally Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent customer service skills, a pleasant personality, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You should also have moderate computer and systems competency, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed. Prior retail sales experience is helpful but not required.
