The External Support Engineer is a critical role that bridges the gap between content teams and the tools engineering team, providing technical support, guidance, and advocacy to ensure seamless content creation and delivery. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, including: Providing technical support to content and external teams in regards to the use of content tools, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimizing downtime Creating reference materials and delivering training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, promoting efficiency and productivity Solving and debugging possible issues with tools and workflows, using analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly resolve issues for users Escalating more complex or problematic issues to the tool development team, and working with production to track these issues in JIRA, ensuring effective communication and collaboration Advocating for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, providing a voice for content creators and driving innovation Partnering with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, contributing to the continuous improvement of arenaflex's content creation capabilities Guiding or leading cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, fostering a culture of collaboration and creativity Exemplifying reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, upholding arenaflex's high standards of excellence Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, candidates will require: A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, providing a solid foundation in programming principles and software development Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, demonstrating the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic setting Unity 3D game and tool development experience, or a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software, facilitating effective issue management and collaboration iOS and Android mobile development experience, or a strong understanding of mobile platforms and technologies 5 years' experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment, showcasing a commitment to quality and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Ability to read and understand C# code, or other programming languages relevant to arenaflex's technology stack Good written and verbal communication skills, including experience working with external partners and stakeholders Positive attitude and ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement Excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage numerous requests simultaneously Self-motivating, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to take ownership of tasks and projects Skills and Competencies The successful candidate will possess a range of skills and competencies, including: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results and meeting arenaflex's standards of excellence Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees, providing opportunities for career advancement, professional development, and continuous learning.
