Fractional CFO Quire is seeking a highly experienced Fractional CFO or senior finance executive to serve as the strategic financial partner to the CEO of a multi-platform media company undergoing transformation and capital formation. This role is designed for a CFO / President-caliber leader with deep experience in local broadcast media (radio preferred) who can operate at both the strategic and operational level. You will work directly alongside the CEO, acting as a thought partner and financial leader across capital strategy, operating performance, debt and covenant management, investor communication, and complex decision-making. This is not a modeling-only role. It requires executive judgment, credibility with boards and investors, and the ability to navigate disruption, volatility, and growth simultaneously. This engagement is well suited for a seasoned finance executive who has led through industry cycles and wants a high-impact, fractional role. Key Responsibilities: ● Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, MBA) are a plus. ● Partner directly with the CEO to shape financial strategy, capital allocation, and long-term planning. ● Lead oversight of operating performance across assets, including revenue forecasting, advertising economics, and market-level performance. ● Provide hands-on financial leadership. ● Guide debt strategy, including covenant management, refinancing considerations, and lender relationships. ● Support capital formation activities, including preparation for investor discussions and evaluation of financing options. ● Bring discipline to budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning while maintaining flexibility in uncertain conditions. ● Translate complex financial realities into clear guidance for executive leadership, boards, and stakeholders. ● Support M&A evaluation, asset acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic exchanges as needed. ● Ensure strong governance practices, risk management, and compliance mindset appropriate for a scaled media business. ● Act as a senior external face with investors, lenders, and advisors when required. Qualifications: ● Bachelor’s degree ● Senior finance leadership experience as a CFO, EVP Finance, President, or equivalent. ● Deep, hands-on experience in local broadcast media, specifically radio and television. ● Proven track record leading a media business through multiple industry and economic cycles. ● Experience managing significant revenue volatility and executing strategic cost and capital responses. ● Demonstrated leadership in debt management, refinancing, and complex financing structures. ● Experience supporting or leading M&A transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic restructurings. ● Strong familiarity with advertising-driven revenue models, CPMs, audience metrics, and market-level forecasting. ● Board-level presentation experience and comfort operating in high-stakes governance environments. ● Ability to operate as both strategist and operator, with strong judgment and executive presence. COMPENSATION (CONTRACT) ● Compensation for this role is based on experience and ranges from $250 - $500 per hour, with a potential for a higher scale based on more complex creative work. We will pay a premium for candidates with extensive experience in the terrestrial radio sector.
