Position Overview BigFoot Staffing is hiring 1–2 UPS Technicians for a confidential client supporting critical infrastructure and defense sites across the U.S. This role is ideal for early-career techs who thrive on the road, value structure, and want to gain hands-on experience with some of the top UPS systems in the industry. Key Responsibilities • Perform routine preventive maintenance visits on UPS systems • Conduct battery checks, code inspections, and light diagnostics • Flag and escalate issues beyond scope to senior technical teams • Represent our client professionally at secure federal or commercial sites • Travel approximately 150 nights per year (100% reimbursed with downtime built in) Must-Have: • 2–5 years of experience with UPS equipment or electrical systems • Willingness to travel nationwide year-round • U.S. citizenship (required for site access) • Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently Nice-to-Have: • Certification from any of the following: Toshiba, Eaton, Schneider, PQ360, Xtreme, NXT Power • Background working for UPS OEMs or service partners • Active security clearance or prior federal site experience Why This Role? • Work directly on mission-critical systems that keep essential infrastructure online • Career growth path includes advanced certifications and potential leadership tracks • Tools provided (or use your own if preferred) • Veteran-friendly and supportive of those comfortable with frequent travel • Strong internal support model—junior techs are never left on an island Pay & Benefits • Salary: $70,000 – $80,000/year • Travel Reimbursement: All travel fully covered (flights, lodging, per diem) • Time Off: Structured R&R after travel rotations • Tools: All required tools and equipment provided • Phone Benefit: $100/month phone allowance or company-issued phone • Certifications: Access to manufacturer-specific UPS certification programs • Career Growth: Clear advancement path toward team lead or diagnostics-focused roles • Veteran-Friendly: Ideal for former military techs with field readiness and federal site familiarity Location: Remote-based with national travel Priority regions: DMV (DC/VA/MD) (less travel potentially in this location), Dallas–Fort Worth, Salt Lake City, and Nashville Let us help you take the next step in your technical career—with travel, training, and a clear path forward.
