Mechanical Engineer-Entry Level 1

As an entry-level Mechanical Engineer, you will work with a team on mechanical design and analysis projects for nuclear power plants, applying your academic knowledge to real-world engineering solutions. Responsibilities In this position you will work with a team of engineers on projects involving modifications to existing nuclear power generation plants and associated plant mechanical systems Under the mentorship of senior engineering staff you will participate in the design and preparation of design packages for nuclear power plants You will work with other engineering disciplines in the completion of client projects Read design drawings and technical specifications Prepare project deliverables including engineering calculations, specifications, and evaluations Learn how to use and apply industry codes and government regulations along with discipline-specific computer analysis codes Occasional travel to client and plant site locations for design reviews, construction coordination and field verification of designs as required Skills Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or associated field from ABET accredited program 0-2 years of related practical work experience Academic and/or applied knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer Familiarity of tools and principals involved in the production of technical plans, fabrication drawings, and models Experience with CAD Software Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent written and verbal communication skills Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Generous paid time off (PTO) 401(k) plan with a 5% company match Flexible hybrid work schedule (work-from-home and office) Company Overview Kinectrics is an integrated lifecycle management services company providing testing, inspection, certification, and engineering consulting.
