Dr. Joseph Palamar is seeking a part-time (0.5 FTE) research coordinator for his epidemiology study examining self-reported drug use among nightclub and dance festival attendees.The study is funded by the National Institute of Drug Abuse. The ideal candidate is a committed, highly motivated individual who can work effectively, independently, and in small teams. The research coordinator will help manage all aspects of Dr. Palamars study. Familiarity with EDM and experience in the scene is a plus. JobResponsibilities:• Coordinate all aspects of data collection and management of survey and biological data• Oversee all other research assistants and interns and oversee their schedules• Train research assistants and interns in all aspects of the research study• Design, develop, and program electronic surveys• Help collect data in the field when necessary• Participate in editing of manuscripts for publication, presentations, and grant proposals• Manage tracking of participant payments and other spending• Oversee administration of the electronic survey as needed• Help oversee other administrative and research-related tasks• Perform other duties as assignedMinimumQualifications:To qualify you must have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field.Minimum of two years of progressively responsible project coordination experience, preferably in a research setting. Proficiency in using various bolthires Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.Commitment to continuous learning as required by department administration. Ability to operate research related equipmentAbility to work and make decisions independently. Time management skills and ability to multitask. Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems: Ability to work well under pressure.
