Department Overview: We are looking for a summer nanny to spend time with our three kids, ages 4, 6, and 8 (all will have birthdays over the summer). Our kids love being outside (biking, swimming, gardening), creating projects (art and simple science experiments), and going on local adventures like the library, museums, and the neighborhood pool. We are located on the west side of Madison, with easy walking and biking access to several parks, trails, and a neighborhood pool. We are hoping to find someone who is reliable, creative, patient, and energetic, and who enjoys being active and engaged with kids throughout the day. Anticipated Start Date 6/15/26 Anticipated End Date 8/28/26 Anticipated Hours Per Week 30 to 40 Schedule: Flexible schedule, with full-time or near full-time hours preferred (approximately 40 hours per week). We are open to slightly fewer hours for the right fit. Example schedules include: • Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm • Monday–Thursday, 7:30am–5:30pm and Friday, 8:30am–12:30pm There will be a planned two-week break in mid-July for family travel. There is potential to continue with occasional after-school help or date nights in the fall for interested candidates. Salary/Wage Range: Hourly $22.00 to $25.00 Number Of Positions 1 Position Summary/Job Duties: This is a summer nanny position focused on providing attentive, hands-on care and helping create a fun, structured summer for our three children. Responsibilities include supervising and engaging three children (ages 4, 6, and 8), planning and participating in outdoor play, crafts, and simple projects, driving children to local activities such as parks, the pool, the library, and museums, preparing simple lunches and snacks, and maintaining a safe, positive, and supportive environment. Light tidying related to children’s activities is expected, and during quieter moments, occasional folding of children’s laundry when time allows is appreciated but not required (no housekeeping). We have a large backyard with a garden and pond and live close to several parks and a neighborhood pool. While we have plenty to do close to home, being comfortable driving children to local activities is strongly preferred. An end-of-summer completion bonus is provided. Qualifications: • Experience caring for children (babysitting, camps, siblings, etc.). • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable supervising multiple children. • Valid driver’s license and good driving record preferred. • CPR/First Aid certification a plus (or willingness to obtain). • Non-smoker. Physical Demands Playing with children indoors and outdoors, walking, light lifting, biking with children, swimming supervision, and driving to local activities.
