As a Customer Development Manager at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in driving alignment and simplification across all three tiers of the distribution process. With a deep understanding of insights and analytics, you will support our retail customers and identify growth opportunities, ensuring that our vendor programs are executed effectively in the field. About the Role In this role, you will be responsible for creating and delivering actionable insights and recommendations based on a variety of data sources. You will analyze and report on category performance metrics, including sales, profits, margins, and market share, to identify trends and drive improvements. Regular business reviews will be a key component of your responsibilities, where you will develop, communicate, and monitor performance metrics relevant to each business, ensuring that suppliers are engaged in continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Create and deliver insights and recommendations using various data sources, including Point of Sale (POS) data, syndicated data from sources like Nielsen and IRI, and account-specific databases. Monitor the field execution of vendor programs and evaluate supplier performance to enhance our inventory logistics objectives. Stay informed of analytic best practices across the industry and apply this knowledge to drive improvements in category management. Analyze and report data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions, and develop strategies to address these findings. Track category performance, including sales, profits, margins, and market share, and provide recommendations to drive growth and improvement. Develop, communicate, execute, and monitor performance metrics and goals, ensuring that suppliers are engaged in continuous improvement initiatives. Create and deliver effective reports using POS data and syndicated data, and present findings to internal stakeholders and external partners. Analyze the supply chain to evaluate and recommend supplier performance, and identify opportunities to optimize logistics and distribution. Understand and apply customer, consumer, and industry insights using market research data, and develop strategies to drive category growth. Ensure superior client satisfaction through deep analytics and team problem-solving, and collaborate with external retail customers and key suppliers to drive mutual growth and success. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's Degree and experience within the CPG sector, with a preference for experience in the Adult Beverage industry. An understanding of National Chain Sales, Retail, and Distributor operations, and expertise in category management principles and shopper/consumer insights. A high level of understanding of Category Management processes and practices, and assertive leadership and decision-making skills with high energy. Preferred experience with Syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI) and Internal Shipment Data, and a strong foundation in business fundamentals and business finance. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and quantitative analysis skills, and intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. Nice-to-Haves Experience in the Adult Beverage industry, and familiarity with market research methodologies. Ability to collaborate with external retail customers and key suppliers, and experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
