Our client, a leader in wireless communications technology, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to join their innovative, fully remote engineering team. This position is crucial for the advancement and optimization of our cutting-edge 5G network systems. You will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and optimization of RF components and systems, ensuring peak performance and spectrum efficiency. Your work will involve analyzing propagation models, designing antenna systems, and conducting interference analysis to ensure robust signal coverage and capacity. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of RF theory, cellular system architectures (particularly 5G NR), and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). You will utilize advanced simulation and measurement tools to validate designs and troubleshoot complex RF issues. Collaboration with hardware engineers, software developers, and network planners is essential to integrate RF solutions seamlessly into the broader network infrastructure. Conduct RF propagation analysis, interference modeling, and coverage planning. Develop and validate antenna designs and placement strategies. Perform RF site surveys and evaluate potential interference sources. Utilize RF simulation and measurement tools (e.g., Ansys HFSS, Keysight tools) for design validation. Troubleshoot and resolve complex RF performance issues in live network environments. Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure integrated system performance. Stay abreast of emerging RF technologies, standards, and industry best practices. Contribute to RF performance metrics definition and reporting. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and spectrum allocation guidelines. Qualifications: Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in RF engineering, with a strong focus on wireless communication systems. Proven expertise in 5G NR technology, RF design principles, and cellular network architectures. Proficiency with RF simulation and design software. Experience with RF test equipment and measurement techniques. Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory, antenna theory, and propagation modeling. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
